Reporting an error
The fastest way to get a mistake fixed is to include three things: the article URL, the specific figure or claim you believe is wrong, and — if you have one — a source for the correct number. Per our editorial and corrections policy, material errors (a wrong number that could change a reader’s decision) are corrected within 48 hours of verification, and the correction is noted on the article with a date. If a figure has no source date next to it and isn’t pure arithmetic, that counts as a defect too — tell us.
Calculator feedback
Found a case where a calculator gives a strange answer? Send the calculator’s name, the exact inputs you entered, what it returned, and what you expected. Cases you can verify against another tool or a known formula are gold — they let us reproduce the problem in minutes. Feature requests are welcome with the same specificity: what question were you trying to answer that the tool couldn’t?
Topic requests
The articles that work best here start from a real question with real numbers in it — “is $X normal for Y?”, “does A actually beat B, and by how much?” Send the situation (no personal details needed) and the decision you’re weighing, and there’s a fair chance it becomes an article. What we won’t cover: stock picks, price predictions, or anything else our editorial policy rules out.
What we can’t do
We cannot answer questions like “what should I invest in?” — that’s personalized financial advice, which we don’t give (see our disclaimer). Nothing personal; it’s the line that keeps this site honest.
