CentSheet is an independent personal-finance publication with one editorial rule: every number is computed, sourced, and dated — or it doesn’t run.
We write for people who want to understand their money, not be sold to. That means guides and calculators built on arithmetic you can check, honest uncertainty where the data is genuinely unsettled, and no “10 stocks to buy now” — ever.
Who’s behind it
CentSheet was founded in 2026 by Vinoth Kanna, an engineer by profession. The site exists because he applies the same discipline to money that engineering demands of everything else: verify the numbers, state the assumptions, and never trust a figure you can’t recompute. Every article on this site is reviewed against that standard before it publishes — payoff timelines come from our own calculators, growth projections from stated formulas, and external figures carry a source and a date.
Research and drafting here are done with the assistance of AI tools; every article is then edited, fact-checked, and approved by the editor, who is accountable for its contents. Our editorial policy spells out how that works, and our disclaimer covers what we are and aren’t.
What we cover
Budgeting, debt payoff, saving, and the mechanics of long-term investing — with mortgages and real estate coming next. Our debt payoff calculator and budget checker are free and run entirely in your browser.
What we don’t do
Personalized financial advice, stock picks, paid rankings, or sponsored conclusions. Some articles may contain affiliate links, governed by our affiliate disclosure — compensation never determines what we cover or conclude.
