How to spot the difference
Editorial links — the ones connecting our own articles and calculators, or pointing to primary sources such as government data — are the default on this site and earn us nothing. Affiliate links appear only where a specific product or account is being discussed, and any article containing them carries a disclosure note, so you never have to guess. If you’re unsure whether a particular link is an affiliate link, ask via the contact page and we’ll tell you plainly.
Advertising
CentSheet also displays advertising (e.g., Google AdSense), which is labeled as advertising and is separate from editorial content. Ad networks choose and serve those ads: an advertiser appearing on this site is not an endorsement, and no advertiser sees our content before publication. Why we monetize at all
Commissions and advertising fund a site with no paywall and nothing to sell you. That arrangement only works if you can trust the words, which is why these rules — and the editorial policy behind them — are public.
